The whole plan from the Angena’s side is weird. Even if Gallahan couldn’t be cured, the idea that a different family should be given the business when the Lombardi are there already makes no sense. It’s reasonable to say that it can’t be left in the hands of a child, but there are plenty of other ways to secure it that don’t involve the Angenas at all. The emperor has been trying to keep them in check for the past few years, so clearly giving it to them should be against his interests. It would make more sense to ask for it to be given to Vieze at least, since that maintains the presumption that it stays in the Lombardi’s hands while really giving the power to the Angenas (since Vieze is an idiot).
The important thing to realize in this chapter is that Grandpa Lombardi has absolute faith in Tia or at least he believes that she is very competent because he believes that his son will recover.
The agenas going after the store is an illogical and down right laughable plot twist. It just seems like a desperate and baseless attempt from the author to create a serious conflict.
Thats like a zuckerberg staking claims to samsung when the owner falls ill.
