As much as I’d love to see that trash taken out, I understand where she is coming from. She probably wants to fight her own battles as he didn’t ask her how he can help, he moved on his own. Similarly, she’s more logical in the sense she probably doesn’t want to have his bloodlust triggered as that could lead to others dying.
She absolutely has the right to step in and make her own decisions. She’s been saving herself all this time and romance shouldn’t be to suddenly be unable to deal with your problems and shove them as something the ML fixes. I love that she came in to remind her she’s the one who decides for herself; she’s the one who will stir the ship that is her life. The ML can support and help her, but never at the expense of disregarding her and choosing for her.
I, for one, am glad that Laria went in the room. The duke while well intentioned is not her “keeper”. Laria should be allowed to make her own choices in this situation. She has to be given to chance to tell her family to bugger off.
