And then instead of respecting that the son and daughter in-law he neglected might not want to inherit his territory, he tells him a story, not about his struggles but about his wife being bullied in high society. As if that exact thing isn’t what Killian dosen’t want Edith to go through anymore. Then trys to say he’s not trying to pressure them into doing it anyway.
He’s acting like them going to what I’m pretty sure is an inland non border territory far from the capital would come with the same issues he had. Or like managing a duchy would be easier then developing a smaller territory. It’s like asking someone to do hard labor for the rest of their lives instead of doing paperwork one day a week and vacation for the rest of it.
