he deserves to get torn down, but not destroyed imo. maybe I just crave good redemption arcs but considering the history that I’ve personally had with death and unsaid words and lost loved ones and regrets, I think him confessing his sins to his long gone wife is enough for me. this is heartbreaking and he will be paying for this for the rest of his life. Charlize doesn’t need to forgive him, but it feels good to see that he truly understands where he went wrong (rather than the typical parent that blames everyone but themselves)
