My theory~~
What if in the original novel he was in love with her and he didn’t simply see her as family. Perhaps that’s why he became like that. Maybe the original novel ends with him going back in time again, maybe that’s what the novel is about? Maybe that’s the curse ? Losing who you love and repeating it over and over.
But yet again, why would he kill his father over and over right ? hmm idk~~ but I truly think the ending of the original novel is not a happy ending and that Saint wasn’t his lover.
OR Ah maybe he actually went back in time for the first time because he fell in love w her when she took over the girls body ?
i have a theory: that the ML didn’t just bring the saint’s to cure his curse but help bring the the childhood friend back but smt went wrong and brought someone else back or the childhood friend became the person who read the novel so the soul was dragged back.
