what don’t you guys understand lol. years od brainwashing and drug addiction is what she’s trying to undo but for him to cope with the side effects (which are the hallucinations he’s experiencing), he’s supposed to be taking sleeping pills. he’s not taking them, that’s why he imagines her dying or him killing her. its why hes losing his mind. he’s also having a hard time separating hallucinations from reality and she’s not blaming him. she’s blaming her mother for making them like this and trying to comfort him
