It feels like a narrative warning of what Reinhart could become if he becomes too obsessive and violent, especially if Valleta chooses to leave/reject him for someone else, because we know Reinhart, just like the Emperor, has the ability to truly hurt and cage Valleta like how the Emperor did to this lady Elise. We can only hope that the story keeps Reinhart from going down that path, of him actively telling himself to not hurt Valetta.
Lastly, anyone also understanding where the prince is getting his obsessive lover nature now? Seems like father like son. Which is very worrisome if he ends up becoming THIS much like his father.
