I actually agree with FL. HE is the one that agreed to a marriage without love, and FL was traumatized from the a**hole duke so she has trust issues. She is actually taking ML’s words seriously and he isn’t telling her anything. Someone with trust issues is taking his word at face value and his actions are therefore confusing. If he just stopped being a coward and said “I think I’m in love with you, sorry. If you don’t love me back that’s okay I won’t make it your problem” this entire fiasco wouldn’t be happening…..
