I think it went like this. FL already know that Duke just want to use her from the start but she feel reluctant because of the way he treat her and the og FL. So in this chapter, she finally confirmed that his objective is only to get the counts assets but at the same time it hurt her a little bit because a part of herself want to believe that he’s a good guy. (sorry for the bad english),
well I’m gonna wait until he realises that he actually fall for her instead of just want to use her and i hope when that time come, she wouldn’t forgive him so easily ?
