Annette must be some kind of saint. Her step-sister harrassed her for years, but the moment she becomes nice again, all is forgiven? She didn’t even seem to resent her for the mistreatment, just because when they were very young she was nice? And not only does she put all the abuse behind her, she isn’t guarded in the slightest.
I like the twist of the MC not being the reincarnated person, but I’d appreciate a bit more of a realistic reaction to someone “getting possessed” and having an abrupt change of personality. It’s one thing if her demeanor was all that changed, but she even forgot what foods she liked? I would think she had a bout of amnesia or reverted to a child, based on her behavior, but she just accepts it as normal. And since we can see her thoughts, we know she isn’t just pretending while analyzing the situation. She really just “trusts” this new person who replaced her sister.
@Kian honestly I’m thinking it may be some sort of, “she’s so much better now than before, if I act like it’s normal maybe it’ll stay this way forever” kinda thing. Like obviously she doesn’t want to go back to suffering again so may as well just act like it’s fine and go with it
