Let’s not forget that the novel does confirm (key word here) that if the FL had told the ML she was pregnant, he would’ve forced her to have an abortion or, failing that, he would’ve killed her. He confirmed this. So it’s understandable that the FL doesn’t trust him.
What’s more, the ML forgot about the FL until the inheritance thing came up. This was also confirmed in the novel, so don’t put him in a novel pedestal and claim the FL is selfish. The selfish one here was the ML.
Having said that, I hope this story doesn’t follow the novel because him being an A-hole was hard to swallow.
No the emperor’ deserves to not know who his son is. I’m sad to say but the moment the emperor is revealed to be the ml I am dropping it because his only line to succession is the kid which is why he’s probably being nice to him but are you also forgetting what he did to fl? People need to start realizing that if the emperor is revealed to have a son people will stop at nothing to endanger him and protecting his identity will Lessen the harm. Think with your brain and realize that the ml is the problem not the fl. I am done

This story is heartbreaking. She can’t tell the emperor that Theo is his son, because not only the queen canditate but others too, will want to kill or hurt Theo just to get back at the emperor or at the FL. But all this hiding and secrecy, it’s also putting Theo is danger…
I hate to admit but the best thing would be if the emperor never found out about his son, and Theo lived a good life far away from the emeperor and remains unknown as the emperor’s son until he’s old enought o defend himself at least.
