I’m re-commenting this for those who do not understand what misunderstandings and lack of communication is ? cuz why not
he misunderstood that she didn’t love him but she had, from the start, the opportunity to dispell such misunderstanding. He confirmed her feelings and asked her the “you don’t love anyways” shit. But what did she do? She let her pride speak for itself and said “yes I never loved you” ? right there she could have changed the course of their fate (and we won’t be reading anything ?) but she let her disappointment of him not knowing that she loves him and all her efforts are for him. How was he even supposed to know when she never said anything ? for all we know he might have an inkling but she never confirmed with him and all he’s really sure of is that she’s the daughter of the bastard duke.
Yes he’s basically detaining her but isn’t she also withholding his parental rights??? Aren’t they the same??
Who are we to say who is the greater evil and wish their death in this situation when they both had misgivings
if he were to die ? who is going to take the throne???
