@minichu yes, Vivi’s father is Earl Lewis, he is a noble and so is she, her brother would be a Young Lord or Young Master. Also having a noble title doesn’t necessarily guarantee wealth, nobles can indeed be poor. But Vivi’s family is pretty well off, so she is probably referring that they are only moderately wealthy or a little bit under it, or that they are poor in connections, also something very important, or both. The Duke is probably meant to be at the very top of their society in terms of wealth and connections so that’s why she views him as being in a completely different league even if theoretically they are of the same social class.
