Because even if they kingdom doesn’t respect her, she’s still a princess from a land they have a (tentative) truce with, where anything can can be an incentive to break it and call for another war.
What the FL is saying is, “Since you are the fourth princess, I assume you speak for the entire kingdom when you insult me.” Which, in a roundabout way, also insults the Kingdom the FL came from.
This could be used as a way to break the nonaggression pact between the two kingdoms and start another feud, which is something they do not want.
As much as I am a sucker for a pretty face, there really is no point if I can’t follow along with what is going on.
I appreciate the explanation from Luna12575 but a story is no enjoyable to me if I need someone to constantly explain to me what is going on.
