Hmm okay.. my opinion on Genas has now changed. His method is still wrong, but i can see his desperation. I understand why he did that. He is desperate to save ML, even more so after ML’s suicide attempt, and wasting away smoking drugs hoping for death to come his way.
Genas wants to keep ML alive, and he’s ready to hurt other people in the process, but what he failed to realize is that ML is depressed. Not only is he physically ill but also mentally. Forcing FL to marry ML is only fixing his body but not his mind. And there’s nothing ML would want more than to hurt FL.
The most annoying part is that everything could be avoided. Genas’ way of doing things is too brute and forceful. He cares only about one thing (keeping ML alive) and not the other. So even when he managed to keep ML alive through the marriage, he failed to give ML a happy life, despite claiming that all this is for ML’s sake.
If Genas didn’t intercept the letter and didn’t spout those unnecessarily mean remarks to FL, I bet things would have been different. Arranged marriage is not foreign in such settings, so to a certain point i understand what Genas meant by “things will improve over time”, because if at least one of them tried, then maybe something could change. But now we have an extremely hesitant, depressed ML and a disappointed, sickly FL. Tell me, how can any of them solve whatever is happening? They cant even communicate. Which is why i think FL did so great with her communication skill in this second chance
