okay this is an absolute hot take but diana (in this timeline?) is the primary issue, helios is actually probably not that bad- helios is at least trying to make sure cael is okay (ik it’s because he found out he tried to kill himself but diana didn’t visit) and he evidently cares about the empire? like he’s trying to be a good prince whereas diana is forgoing her saintess responsibilities
like yeah he’s bad for dating the girl his friend liked but imo it’s not particularly worth trying to bring *him* down because he’s still a good crown prince his only mistake really was thinking he could marry for love since it looks like diana is incapable lmao

Diana made the choice and was responsible for destroying Cael’s trust in her (as he seemed perfectly okay with not being the one she loves). She forgoes responsibilities, let the church stop healing commoners, and bathed herself in her new status. She deserves neither Cael nor Helios
