The brother’s reaction is weird. If this is the first time Lillian appeared, she couldn’t have poisoned them against her yet. Which means this is their natural attitude. But from her perspective, she’s been helping them while hiding her own superiority.
One possibility would be that they know she’s superior to them and resent her for that. Then they would take everything about her negatively. But then it’s odd that they’d accept her help and keep her around. Or think that she would want to cling to her position.
Another possibility is that they dislike her for being a fake. Which is really weird in itself. Why did the duke adopt a lookalike to replace his missing daughter, then make absolutely no effort to hide that she’s a fake? Everyone in the mansion knows she’s a fake, even the maids look down on her. The temple knows the real one is missing and has the tools to identify the real one. Given all this, why adopt a fake at all? What purpose did it serve?
Also, where’s the mother? She hasn’t shown up so far.
I’m sure she can go to the mage tower and be a student or earn money somehow — I’m glad she decided to book it outta there as soon as she regressed ??♀️?
