Well this is the cliche personality of all the men in south korean manwhas. All the men are obsessed with the female lead as if they have nothing better to do other than to be obsessed with the girl. Like every time a male get screen time is to show the readers how obsessed he is with the female lead. Most of the time, the men are also emotionally weak and incompetent to create contrast to show that the female lead is emotionally stable and so competent that she is needed by the whole world of the story.
I like the cliche stories like that but I don’t blame the men. That is just the standard or cliche story telling that makes a lot of money.
