I quite like this actually. I don’t condone it of course, but I like that of all the people we’ve met so far, she’s probably the most sane and was only ever shaped/reactive to the way other people treat her. as such, I wonder how long siyun will be content with being kept on a tight leash and when he’ll start asking for more. I’m also curious on how he’ll be shaped and how jeongmin will respond to him as time progresses. they have partial control of one another and when the balance gets tipped is when the story will get good. psychological warfare in this is fantastic and it’s kinda sad that it gets reduced to “crazy boy” and “gullible girl” sometimes
it’s more complex than that. he’s manipulative and smart but a slave to his desires and she’s a victim but also a survivor and is slowly regaining power and self control over the people who ruined her. it’s imperfect but it’s working and the power dynamic between all leads (jeongmin, siyun, juhyeon, and jaehyeok) is rapidly changing the more that jeongmin begins swaying the table with siyun delivering the initial heavy hits. a story like this doesn’t have a clear direction nor resolution (much like My Deepest Secret) and it’ll be thrilling to see
