Actualy. The ML (Emperor son) did reflect on his mistakes and tries to become gentle for her and he’s the original ML but I think the one who describes the true story is a bit harsh. They rather show their love for the second ML that they support but if they follow the original the ML (no not the second) is supposed to be her true lover and in the story the love ain’t really described as “close” the ML looks like he has no other reason to love the FL by beauty. That makes me disappointed in the story I read until now
