Now Cesio gets the information that his father has been poisoned too and we know he could heal his father, but it’s strongly implied that he won’t help his father thus making Cesio not a good person in his own eyes.
Honestly, I agree with Cesio that his ability is a curse at times. Like, he has to do good deeds in order to be able to use his magic. Even if you want to be nice all the time, you have your own wants, desires, and hatred that is opposite. Cesio might also think he isn’t a good person because, in the back of his mind, he might also wonder if his good deeds are truly sincere or just a tool to keep his ability. Like, good deeds have become a currency, tainted even if he is being sincere.
