Naw, as a character she is to “in love” with the Duke to leave him. She’s happily sitting there allowing him to lead her around even after he killed her child. He will give her up in a heartbeat if she gets in the way of his “plans” for the future. These kinds of docile characters annoy me to no end. Again no depth. I keep hoping to see growth and a strength of will but get discouraged. Think this is truly the end for me on this story.
I don’t like how manufactured the drama is. Yes, the duke initially approached with ulterior motives. She was also happy to marry her sister off to a rich man to save her family, so she can’t really be pointing fingers about that. But the duke scrapped those plans after getting to know her. He didn’t steal their gold mine, supported her family, and has been modifying his plans to accomodate her.
He did push her into a corner with the murder case, I’m not saying he’s a saint. But the thing she holds against him instead is the death of their child, which he definitely isn’t guilty of. It was a choice between both of them dying and only the child dying.
And Guilles is just a creepy “nice guy”. He thought no one would ever love her, so she would naturaly have no choice but to settle for him. He is also waiting for her to be pushed into a corner so she will choose him instead.
Completely agree with Kian. When your spouse is not in a state to make their own choices, the other makes the call. He had to choose between saving both (if the child survived the medicine, as he claimed it would be strong as it was his child), saving her (if child did not resist the medicine), or losing BOTH if she did not take the freaking medicine. Losing a baby takes a toll in every relationship, yall need to let the story flow.
I like this webtoon soooot much, it feels like a real relationship with misunderstandings and hard situations that if you solve them the relationships will grow. That duke loves her and we can see that. She probably would have died before giving birth and both cases, the baby wouldn’t be born…
