I don’t agree with his mothers actions. But imo it does shed more of an understanding light on why she became attached to Miesa reaaaallly quickly when she’ll go to such a drastic length to avenge her daughter
I’m not saying I support the mothers actions but I can understand it, to dome extent.
First of all, this is very far in the past, or it’s supposed to be at least, so common sense from the nobles, or anyone really, wasn’t all that common.
So imagine you have all that power and know that what you do is mostly ignored by the law and your precious child is outright killed by someone drunk. Honestly, how drunk could he have been? He was riding a horse! Not driving a car. He could hold his balance while riding that fast. That’s not as easy as you might think.
Second of all, there’s the threat of retaliation. This is a display of unimaginable power and fury. This shows and warns anyone to stay away from her last surviving child. I know she’s not been the same to him but I’m sure she still loves him dearly and don’t want to lose him to someone enacting revenge.
A drunk knight killed their daughter, he decided to drink and ride and knew the consequences. Sucks to suck but if you know the consequences then maybe don’t do stupid shit ??♂️??♂️??♂️

Was rooting for the mother in law. But I am disappointed to know that she killed that knight’s entire family
