The amount of unnecessary hate the father gets is so pitiful.
Like, why didn’t he know her abuse and what she’s must be feeling but isn’t it the same for her? She has no idea what pain he had to go through when he decided to send her away for her own safety and health. What he had felt being away from her. What he is feeling or thinking now.
Why does she not know? It’s not as if she’s an actual child who knows nothing. She is an adult (in a childs body).

Idk why people are hating on the dad he’s not a mind reader and she’s never even mentioned that she was abused or how she was treated all they see is a little girl who got home sick and returned on her own accord, and I think people forget that the father didn’t just send her to the middle of nowhere but to a mansion in the capital with a massive amount of maids as well as her aunt who is family so from his point of view she would have been surrounded by people who would and should have been loving and caring for her especially because a member of her family is there but also because she’s “his” daughter and sent her plenty of money and likely gifts that were stolen by the aunt or maids the only reason he is unaware of her treatment his because he’s likely been given false reports during a 5 year campaign that would have made information gathering extremely hard and never actually received any of her real letters
