I might be still unsure wanna forgive Duke Ludwig or not, but I guess I’m staring to feel ashamed and should owed him countless apologies for calling him ‘Duke Moron’ and ‘Worst So-Called Father Of The Years’ as well as for the terrible comments I gave about his critical condition in the previous chapters. I mean; it’s true that sometimes it’s easier to resent than to forgive, but Duke Ludwig did genuinely admit himself to be a dirty father and wasn’t expecting forgiveness from his children Keira and Zekehart. Most importantly, he did really saved Keira from being killed by the monster in Chapter 88 and was genuinely working hard to make amends for his children. Yet, I was too focused on his past sins and more concerned about should Keira choose Joseph or Erez instead of acknowledging Duke Ludwig’s genuine heroism of saving Keira from the monster; what a selfish fool I was…???????????????????? And sorry to whoever who willing to forgive Duke Ludwig, regardless the justified reasons I had…????????????????????
@Arunima A I definitely see where you’re coming at but Claude was influenced on magic, he curse himself when his wife died. But this Guy is not even influenced on magic XD he’s actually a crappy Dad. But I guess they’re both crappy dads?
I like the way she handled it. The fact that he regrets it doesn’t just heal all the wounds. I also appreciate it that he neither demanded nor even expected her to forgive him. He just wants to atone and that’s acceptable. I like that all the hurt wasn’t just swept under the rug, but was instead acknowledged and worked with rather than around.

I feel that people are a little to hung up on his past we have been seeing changes in his attitude and this was a clear breaking point that lead him to swallow his pride and show his emotions which I think is a big step her reasoning for not forgiving him is in this world and how he has been treating her still so coldly but I think we will soon start to see him question and hate (I forgot her name) the bad bitch you can’t think about his past self when he was being heavily manipulated by bad bitch you need to see him as he is now in this new time line

I think this is the “best” outcome emotionally. He doesn’t ask for forgiveness because he knows he’s not worthy of it, but wants to make atonement to help Kiera. And Kiera, she listened to his regret patiently while still honoring her own pain in saying she can’t forgive or reach for his love right now, but that she is willing to have him in her life for a larger purpose (stopping cosette). She was honest while setting down a strong boundary, and the Duke respected that boundary. All that matters now is how he will respond going forward and understanding that he might never gain full forgiveness, and that’s okay because this is about Kiera, not him.
this chapter was so adorable. i’m glad that keira don’t want to accept his excuses. I hope that later, she will accept it and build their new relation from the start but for now i think it’s better
